Chef Christian Boillat has been the proud owner of his own confectionery shop in the Swiss town of Saint-Prex since 1997.
The French-speaking Swiss mastered the skills required to become a pastry chef, confectioner and chocolatier 27 years ago in Morges (Swiss). He then went on to refine his techniques at several confectioners for over seven years before opening up his own business. With his first shop being a great success, and motivated by the wish to satisfy his customers’ desires, he opened another shop including a tearoom in Crissier in 2001. In 2011, Chef Boillat opened up a third shop in Lausanne, followed by a fourth in Nyon. Today he employs around 100 motivated people.
