Li Che Chen

Aged 36, Chef Li Che Chen started in pastry when he was only 14 years old.

He represented the Asia-Pacific region at the Global Pastry Chefs Challenge, which took place in Stavanger, Norway. It is a competition held by the World Association of Chefs’ Societies (WACS), and Chef Chen battled it out with 6 other top chefs from the US, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, Finland, Cyprus, and New Zealand. Chef Chen emerged as International Champion with his magnificent chocolate display titled ‘3D Reflection of Deep Blue Ocean’. It was the first time for bakery chain 85°C and the first time a Taiwanese contestant won the right to represent Asia at the International Finals.

Chef Chen also has several other international awards to his name, including a silver medal at the 2010 Asian Pastry Cup and a gold medal in the packaging display category at the 2013 Hong Kong International Culinary Classic.
